Annual Poetry Concert

Come out and hear the 2017 St. Louis Poetry Center Poetry contest winners!
To encourage and promote poets and poetry, the St. Louis Poetry Center has, for the past 57 years, sponsored poetry contests that are open to a broad range of poets. The Hanks Contest focuses on Missouri writers who have published in Missouri literary magazines; the Nash Contest encourages and supports active members of the St. Louis Poetry Center; and the Hopkins Contest invites high school writers to receive recognition alongside more practiced writers at our Annual Poetry Concert.
All SLPC poetry contest winners will read from their work and receive a copy of the St. Louis Poetry Center Concert chapbook. Light refreshments will be provided. Additional copies of the concert chapbook will be available for purchase.
