DESCRIPTION:The reading will be held in-person at High Low\, and also streamed live to this event page and to Saint Louis Poetry Center’s Facebook page. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSaint Louis Poetry Center is thrilled to welcome poets Matt Donovan and Elizabeth Hoover for Observable Readings. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooks available for purchase from Left Bank Books. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHEALTH REQUIREMENTS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPatrons are encouraged to wear face masks when attending Observable Readings in-person at High Low.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT THE POETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMATT DONOVAN is the author\, most recently\, of The Dug-Up Gun Museum (BOA 2022) and Missing Department (Visual Studies Workshop\, Fall 2023)\, a collection of art and poetry made in collaboration with the artist Ligia Bouton. He is the recipient of a Whiting Award\, a Rome Prize in Literature\, a Pushcart Prize\, the Levis Reading Prize\, and an NEA Fellowship in Literature. Donovan serves as Director of the Boutelle-Day Poetry Center at Smith College. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nELIZABETH HOOVER is the author of the archive is all in present tense\, winner of the 2021 Barrow Street Book Prize. Her creative nonfiction has appeared in the North American Review\, Kenyon Review\, and StoryQuarterly. She teaches in the English Department at Webster University in St. Louis. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Observable Readings series is supported in part by:
