BookFest St. Louis kicks off with a Whitman poetry reading by local poets, with celebrated passages from Song of Myself. Maryville University’s Dr. Germaine Murray will offer a brief introduction to WHITMANIA and the vision for the project, including Walt Whitman’s St. Louis connections.
